As far as I know, this is not possible in a Pivot table however it is possible in a straight table.
If you need to use a pivot table then maybe you could elaborate a bit more on why you need to hide the column, would it be based on a certain condition(if Statement), is it an expression or dimension that you would like to hide etc?
This would be helpful in trying to solve your problem.
