Pivot table columns do not collapse on clear

Hi All,

I have a pivot table chart, and when I use the clear all button the columns in the pivot table does not collapse/minimize but stay expanded event though all the other filters gets cleared out. Has anyone faced this issue before? Is this a bug?

Thanks for the help.

Either I don't understand you, or it's working as intended.  Why would you expect all the pivot table columns to collapse when you clear?  Do you just have so much data that there's no way to display it all with the columns expanded?

Actually I have 5 dimensions and 2 expressions. Now, when I select a value through a filter my pivot table does not expands on its own and I have to manually expand all the columns for each record using . Again, when I try to clear everything my filters value clears out but the columns/records I expanded before does not collapse back so you could actually see all the records that were expanded before still expanded. and yes there is too much data.

I hope I am clear in my explanation. Thanks John.

Selections are not intended (by QlikView) to expand or collapse associated columns in pivot tables.  That's not the way QlikView pivot tables work.  If you need them to work that way, I suspect you could expand and collapse columns using macros.  You'd trigger the macros when values are selected or cleared from the associated fields.  I'm not thinking of another approach, but there might be a simpler way.
