Pop-up labels not working via Access Point

Hi All,

I've had a look through previous posts on this topic and I can't seem to fix this issue. The issue is that the pop-up labels don't work when I hover over a chart (doesn't matter what type) in a document in access point. I've tried in both Internet Explorer and Chrome and they don't pop-up in either. The pop-up labels work fine in the desktop application.

In relation to the settings I'm using:

In Chart Properties->Presentation->Pop-up Labels are ticked

In Chart Properties->Expressions->some charts have 'Text as Pop-up' ticked, some charts don't have it ticked and neither work

The server version (Client Build Number) is 12.0.20400.0 and accesspoint is using Ajax. The PCs accessing the dashboard are using Windows 8.1 Enterprise.

Is there another setting that needs to be enabled? Is there a bug with this version of the server? Can anyone please advise on alternative solutions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dermot

Hello Dermot,

This is unusual behavior of QlikView. I am unable to replicate the same in my environment with same version.

To dig more on this. Could you please create a sample application with pop-up labels and share the same with me?

I will validate it in my environment.

Regards!

Hi Rahul,

Thanks for your reply.

I also use the Qlik Governance Dashboard to monitor usage and other stats. There's a bar\line chart in the sessions tab and the pop-up labels don't appear on this when I hover over the bars or lines in the chart.

Maybe you are using this dashboard too? It should be downloadable from the Qlik website. I don't have a generic dashboard example.

Hello Dermot,

Just create a sample application with dummy data and Pop-up labels. Put it in server and review it via AccessPoint. if you get this mentioned issue then share the application file with me. This will help me to find the root cause of the issue.

Hi Rahul,

This is a simple app that shows labels when I hover over the relevant bars in the chart in the desktop software but again they are not showing when the app is uploaded to accesspoint e.g.

App via accesspoint, no labels:

Thanks again

Hello Dermot,

I have validated the shared application in my environment; It's working fine. PopupLabels_AccessPoint.png

Not sure what is stopping this functionality at our end. Just perform the last check, open the same application from other workstation to make sure that there is not problem with Browser Security settings.

Hi Rahul,

Thanks for checking. I've checked on two colleagues PCs and the labels aren't appearing. So it looks like it could be the browser settings? Any idea which settings?

Thanks,

Dermot

Hi Dermot,

may be a daft question but.....have you check the browser compatibility for the version of Qlik you are using in the system requirements?

Best regards

Thanks Andrew, I had a look there at the system requirements. I think all is in order...

Re Browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1

Re QlikView Server - We're using Windows Server 2012 R2 platform, 64 GB RAM with plenty disk space, IIS 8.5

ramasaisaksoft

is this happens for only one dashboard? or for all the dashboards?

else check with Qlik tech help team for support.

is there any issue in your current server version or any patch up is required
