Hi,
I have created a batch file and tried to execute it in the QMC -> Supporting Tasks. The tasks ran successfully then when I check the qvw file's reloaded time its not showing the correct time. But when I run the batch by double clicking it, its working fine.
Can anyone help me in this.??
Thanks,
Leni Balakrishnan
Thanks Ricardo
The move/copy command worked
I would like to know whether there is any other operations can be done using supporting tasks like Move/Copy.
Thanks,
Leni
Ok, great.
All of you want and you cannot create in your QVW file and it is necessary to you reload, you can create a Supporting Task.
Examples:
- A database script to change the value of one field to tag as "OK"
- Kill application and open it again;
- Send a message to your partner;
- Restar Services berfore reload a big application.
It´s samples.
Thanks a lot Ricardo
It helped me to understand the use of Supporting tasks
Thanks
Hi Ricardo,
I tried to open an application using batch from supporting task but it is not working.
This is the command I gave in batch file
"C:\Program Files\Qlikview\Qv.exe" "F:\Test\Test.qvw"
Once I run the task I have checked from Task Manager, I can see an instance for the application like Qv.exe but the file is not opened.
Please tell me where I am going wrong.
Thanks,
Leni
Hi Leni,
Did you get any help at this step?
We have a same requirement. i am able to get the QV.exe process started, but the QVW is not getting opened.
Please suggest.
Hi DMohanty,
maybe you're missing the licence for the user?
You need to do the licence lease first time manually - otherwise QV will start in personal edition and cannot open documents which are created by another user.
