Problem on listbox selection order

Hi Dears,

On my local machine, when I select an item in listbox, the selected item appears at the top of the listbox. This is the correct behavior as shown below with the settings:

But when the same application with the same setting is deployed on the server, the selected item does not appear at the top of the list as shown in below screenshot. As I have to replicate the same thing for multiple listboxes, how can I change the setting to make the selected item to always appear at the top?

Try to change the sort order from auto ascending to ascending:

Sorts the field values according to their logical state (selected, optional or excluded).

The Auto Ascending setting sorts the list box (or, in a multi box, the drop-down list containing the field values) according to State only if the list box contains a vertical scroll bar. However, if you enlarge the list box to show all values, the sort order State is completely switched off.

Which version of QV are you using and which browser & version?

Do you see this issue also using different client browser / versions?

Yes I've got the same issue when using internet explorer and firefox.

On my local pc, im using version qlikview version 11.20.12852.0 SR 11 64 bit version.

And I think it must be the about the same version on the server.

My selected items need to appear at the top.

If I check the frequency box and set it to 'Descending Order', will it work by showing my selected item at the top?

If yes, I will deploy another version on the server.

I have set the frequency to descending order, but then my items no longer appear in alphabetical and numerical order.

By default, the names need to be also ordered by alphabetical order.

Can you please help?

I have made the changes by setting order from Auto Ascending to Ascending.

I will wait for deployment on server to check if all ok and I will let you know.

Yes, please let us know if this resolves your issue.

According to your screenshot, your list boxes also show scroll bars on AP, so auto ascending should work in principle, but maybe there is an issue with the proper functionality of auto function.
