Problem opening .qvw file

I'm new to Qlik and downloaded the free version (version 11).

When I create a script and save it and try to open it again (file/open) I get the message that the Qlik document was created by another user and as I'm using the Personal Edition, I may not open it.

The .qvw file and source data are both located on my PC's harddrive (Windows XP Pro).

I understand that I can not open files created by other users, but Qlik won't allow me to open my own files.

Hi, with free version qlikview you can not open files created by other users. You need qlikview server but it isnt free.

Hi, i'm having the same problem. Did you found any solution ?

Thanks,

Hi,

I suggest you to go through this document about QlikView Personal Edition limitations. PE creates a unique key for each installation, so even if you change your session in the same computer onr as it happens to you, you are changing the version of QlikView, this unique key is different.

Please refer to the document for further information.

Hope that helps.

Miguel

Hi,

I'm sorry but it didn't helpt at all !

Anyway uninstalling qlickview with an uninstaller which deletes leftovers from the installation worked.
