Problem with Remote Desktop and Qlikview desktop 10 SR4

Hi all,

when I use qlikview desktop via remote desktop I've the same problem of this discussion. http://community.qlik.com/message/190286#190286.

Nothing happens, except a qv.exe that appears in the task manager occupying ~5MB of RAM and no CPU. The solution in the discussion works fine, but it is not useful because this problem happens everytime I close and re-open qlikview! Is there a definitive solution of this issue?

Thanks

Andrea

Hi

Have you tried uninstalling QV desktop, deleting the folders mentioned in the other thread, and clearing out the registry keys under HKCU/Software/QlikTech; and then re-installing QV? I suspect that some setting is corrupt and this should clear that out.

Note: only do this if the machine is not also running QV server!!!

Hope that helps

Jonathan

Hi

You could still try uninstalling and re-installing QV desktop. That should be safe.

I just don't know which registry keys and AppData/LocalSettings files affect QV server and should not be deleted.

It doesn't work. After reinstalling QV Desktop, the problem is still there.

Thanks,
