Hello everybody
I'm working on a new computer with new qlikview license.
I put the new license in the QVC and everything is good.
Somehow I'm not able to lease my license on the qlikview and it stays on personal edition.
I did the "open in server" and I have access to the document on the server but the "personal edition stays". when I open a new qlikview doc. it is a personal edition one -so i can't work like this.
I also checked the QVC and the "Allow license lease" is checked.
Anyone has an idea what went wrong?
Thank's
Hi,
Did you allow licence lease in QMC ? If not, you should do it like this :
System > Licence > Qlikview Server > CALs > General
sory for my first answer I didn't read completely your requirement. Did you assigned a licence in the Assigned CALs tab or did you tick the Allow dynamic CAL assignement.
You should also check the limitation tab which may be set to 0 or a too restrictive value
Let me know
Open Qlickview
Go to Setting -->User preference->Liecence->Chnage->Enter the liecenc number- and control number, user name[by default it takes system name] and organisation name
after entering these details , it will contact lience server and enables the liececne.
As it cotacts the lience server make sure your internet connection is on.
Hi Hagit,
You need to go under the assigned Cals and see if your UserID already has two CALS. If you do it will not allow you to lease another one until you delete one of the old ones.
Bill
Thanks Bertrand and Bill- I'm showing up in the assigned Cals (Bill- only once).
This is why I have acsses to the doc on server, but the qlikview is still on personal edition for some reason..
Vishwanatha- I did that allredy, I don't have internet connection so I used the lef text- but still: personal edition..
I believe you need an internet connection to the QV Server to lease a licence. You cannot use a LEF file to lease a licence.
Do you have any licenses available to assign/lease?
What makes you believe that you are sstill in personal edition ? Can you post a screen shot of your getting started page please ?
Colin- the qlikview has a way to do that without internet connection.. (internet security etc..)
Bill- Yes I have.
Here are the snapshots:
