Hi!
I cannot reload a QVW file within the QVS interface, but it works when I use the Qlikview Desktop. I'm running both at the same machine and I'm using OLE DB to connect. The message that appears in log file is "Error: ErrorSource: (null), ErrorMsg: The specified module could not be found."
Does anybody knows out what could be happening?
Hi
I reinstall the Oracle Client and started to use ODBC64 instead of OLE DB and it worked.
Thanks everyone!
Can you post the lines from the log file that include the error and the lines before that.
This should show the command that is causing the error.
These are the lines:
05/03/2014 13:21:08: 0016 Drop table CommonVariables
05/03/2014 13:21:08: 0017 OLEDB CONNECT*Provider*XPassword*
05/03/2014 13:21:08: Error: ErrorSource: (null), ErrorMsg: The specified module could not be found.
05/03/2014 13:21:08: General Script Error
05/03/2014 13:21:08: Execution Failed
05/03/2014 13:21:08: Execution finished.
Have you use the qvs-service-user for the client reload?
I started the process in the server interface of QMC.
My guess would be that the driver that you are using is installed for a specific user - not for all users on the box. The user account that the QV Server is running under is therefore not able to use that driver.
What kind of database are you connecting to and which driver are you using?
Trying a different one may solve your problem. As Jonas Heisterkamp is suggesting you could RDP to the server as the user account that runs the QV Server services and see what happens when they do a Desktop reload.
Hope that helps
Steve
When you use the QMC it will done under the user of the QV-Distribution-Service. If you use the QlikView desktop with a other account it can be a problem with the permission of the qvs-service-user.
If you show the processes of all users in the taskmanager you can see the following:

I verified what you suggested. The QVS and Desktop are running under the same user.
Strange - what database driver is it you are using?
I'm trying to use OLEDB connection thru Oracle OLEDB Provider. I tried change to the Microsoft ODBC for Oracle and I got a message that client is not installed, even I've installed it yesterday. I'll try some things and see what happens.
