I got 5 users with their own PC and qlikview running loccally. I´ve made 2 Qvw files that they use - a form of template.
Is it possible to protect this template.qvw file from any changes.
2. If I´ve opened a template and make a small change an close QV down - you get the option on the middle of the screen "Save changes to template.qvw" yes or no or anull.
Yes is set to be the defalut choice - is it possibble to change this to NO as default choice?
Im not sure that you can change this. Other solution that i use in this scenario is to set up 2 users - admin user and regular user. Admin user have rights to save changes for document and regular user can't save it. If this is ok for you ill post the steps to achieve this.
Hi Stefan - I cant use the 2 user setup, - because all users are administrators, so the only solutions is to somehow protect the QVW file against changes
