Publisher not reloading a QVW

Hi,

I am trying to reload a QVW using publisher and it is failing. The QVW is connecting to a SQL server database , where a connection string has been generated using an ID named as SA-QV. With help of this ID the connection string is getting generated using Windows Authentication ( Please note there is no password field in the connection string). Everything works perfectly fine when the document is reloaded manually, but, when the document is triggered using Publisher , the log file says " Login failed for user "SA-QVService".

I have no idea what is happening. SA-QVService is the Service Account used to run all our QV services. And I am not even using it in the App as there is no need. Is it like the publisher can't trigger when you create a connection string using Windows Authentication? Is it like it will always need a password on a connection string? everything runs fine when I manually run it and login to the server machine using my own ID.

If any one help me understand this, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Tutan

I came to know we can use the Section Access feature in the Management console while setting up the job to override the default user account which is running the distribution service. I am trying to do it with no luck. If anyone has any experience , sharing the same would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tutan

Apparently the service user SA-QVService doesn't have Windows Authentication access to the data source.  This is should be handled on the SQL Server level.

To make sure, just try to run Windows as SA-QVService and see if you can reload manually.

Try to logon with QV Service Account configured in the windows services and try to reload.

If you are using a ODBC Connection, you want to create like System or create in QV Service User this odbc connection.
