I have some files saved in a development folder with my charts and my scripts there. Then I move the files to the production folder and after publisher run the tasks of that document, it changes the script to a Binary Load. I found in some xml files in the program data folder a few times a variable set to each task that says SetScript="BinaryLoad".
My questions are:
1 - Where does Publisher puts the script once it removes from the file?
2 - How can I set this behavior off?
Thanks in advance.
It doesn't remove the script (or at least in my experience it doesn't), publishing the document creates a copy of your "source document" and places it in the "user documents" folder to be served and rendered by the Qlikview webserver.
You will notice this also if you ever download a published qvw from your access point, it will be only a binary load.
The scripts etc are still in your original document, however, i suspect you don't have sperteate folders for source and published documents, in whichc ase you should set them up asap as it may be that publisher is unknowingly overwriting your source document with the binary copy in the act of publishing.
Igor I have had the same experience with one published report. All of the code is gone, and republishing the report does not do anything. I have had to replace the report with a template I keep in another folder. It almost acts as if the report has been corrupted as it fails to reload even though the administration panel shows success. I do have a seperate folder for source and published as well. Have you found a way to prevent this from happening? This is very infrequent. Probably twice in a year to the same report.
This is what I see.
Did you ever find a way to disable this function within Publisher?

Hi, guys.
I also remember that we could managed this option - save original script for user document or clear it and use binary load...
Have somebody found any options for manage it in QV11 (or maybe 9, 10) ?
I need it now...
Thanks a lot
