Publishing Qlikview

Hi,

I have read other similar queries dated a few years ago but finding them hard to understand.

Essentially I need to get a URL for my Qlikview document. I was told to publish the document and to replace the local server with the server name in the URL.

Can someone talk me through this?

On the Qlikview Management Console, I can already see my Qlikview document under the User Documents. I am unsure on what to do next to get a URL.

Thanks a bunch for the help!

It will depend on how your QV server(s) were set up. Noone around who can tell you these basics for your environment?

For a very simple, standard installation, try

Do you know the URL of the server that hosts the AccessPoint?

Then just try

http://YourAccessPointURL/qlikview

Replace YourAccessPointURL with the URL of the AccessPoint.

Sorry if a bit daft but I currently have little knowledge on this. The url of the QMC goes 'http://dev.gbl:4780/qmc/Default.htm‌'. I've tried different iterations of that where I inserted qlikview at the end but can't get it to load anything.

For a specific document qvw, open it via AccessPoint and copy the url from your web browser.

How do I access AccessPoint? Do I need Qlikview Server because I don't have it installed. I only have Qlikview. I do have access though to the QMC and I see my document under User Documents.

Wow that worked! Earlier I was always keeping the 4780 on the URL.

I am getting a "Failed to open document, You don't have access to this document" message when opening the document. This is interesting as I know I have all the required access. On other documents on AccessPoint it prompts for a login. But for my document, it goes straight to the error message.
