So I should know the answer to this but don't. We have a QVS server that is purely used for distribution (and some development via RDP). It has 500gb RAM. We have some pretty hefty sized reloads running but one of them which had a potentially bad left join, caused the resources to spike and bring down several of the services.
We've capped max working set at 90%, which in theory would still leave us with 50gb RAM for system. During the crash we couldn't even remote on to manage the service/task to kill it. What am I missing here? I know QlikView will still attempt to use whatever RAM it can get its hands on but I thought the whole point of the working set is that it doesn't touch that remaining %?
