Hi Kevin,

you can provide more information about machine that you have installed QlikView Server ?

You use QVWS or IIS as webserver ?

You use same user for all service ?

You have default configuration?

I assume that you have all in one installation with Windows 2008 R2 / Windows 7 .

You can re-register .Net Framework 4, or major versions :

  • open cmd terminal with windows Administrator privileges
  • position in this folder
    • CD C:\WINDOWS\MICROSOFT.NET\FRAMEWORK64\V4.XXX
    • ASPNET_REGIIS.EXE -i
  • if all work correct you can restart machine and check Access Point access

Regards,

Ely

Why do you want to change the path in the access point?

If you want to enter in the access point you need to enter in the browser like IE/chrome or Mozilla Firefox with the next URL

http://name_of_the_server/qlikview or http://ip_of_the_server/qlikview

If you are in to the server, enter with the URL http://localhost/qlikview

The most frequents problems that appear before to install QlikView are the follows:

  • Before to install QlikView server you need to restart the server
  • Remember to turn Off the firewall
  • Look if the services are running, if some service are down you need to check the name of the user and password, if the user is in to the group of the server Administrators
  • It’s important after to install the server, add the license in to the QMC, if the server doesn't have exit to internet you need to enter all licenses LEF manually, otherwise you can obtain the LEF in the next URL http://lef1.qliktech.com/manuallef/
  • Remember if you have installed IIS in to the server you need to follow the document that I attach in this post.

Hi Kevin,

1. We should install latest .Net Frame Work.

Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 from Official Microsoft Download Center

2. Restart the Qlikview services at Local Services, restart all the QV services.

3. Sometimes IE version also creates the problem. BTW, what is the IE version?

Are you accessing access point outside or within the server?

Hope this will help you.
