I need to know the functionality of QMC in detail, can anybody please share me some links/materials where i get these details.....

Hi Savitha,

QMC, the QlikView Managment console is mainly used to create tasks for the QVW's(Dashboards or QVD generators) and schedule them for refresh, also security of the dashboards can be managed in QMC.

Hi Savitha,

Currently I do not have access to QMC, to explain with the screenshots.Once you open QMC, in the left pane you will have add new task option, click on it and browse for your Qlikview file, and you will get sub tabs for security and schedule. you can check out.

QMC is used for managing you application

you can do below from QMC

schedule an application

distribute an Application if you have publisher

assign CAL( client access license ) to users i.e manage CALs

security could be apply for server(NTFS/DMS)

alert can be send on failure

configure SMTP

start /stop services can be done
