Hi All,
is there any function in QV, like if user is not using application than it should be timeout after particular defined time. and ask for credential to login again.
thanks to all in advance
Hi Abhay,
within the QMC you are able to set document timeouts and inactive times yes, please see below screen-print.
This can be set differently for each document, there is also the option for server wide timeout values too, this is found under system tab and then within qlikview server - performance.
hope that helps
Joe

Hi Joe,
what is the use of document timeout in system tab??
Document timeout is the document - user document tab not within system.
Below is the help text on it, basically it's how long before the document is removed from memory when not being used.
Open documents take up valuable system resources (that is, memory space, RAM, is allocated) and should not be allowed to remain open when not in use. However, if a document is closed too quickly, the users may get longer delay times when accessing the document, because the server has to reopen it. This value controls for how long a document will be allowed to be unused before the QlikView Server (QVS) closes the document and reclaims the resources.
thanks JOe
