QV: How to change default-path when opening a file

Dear Community,

In QlikView 12 when opening a file through a Qlikview-client hosted through Citrix Xenapp, we always encounter the following issue:

"Restrictions: This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."

QV12 opens by default the C-partition, when clicking on "Open file..."

By clicking "OK" it opens in yr local C-disk. As from here you can bypass this by opening the requiere path to yr personal network home-directory.

We simply want to alter this default path and avoid the error-popup.
Where and how to tackle this issue?

If Citrix allows you to keep the values persistent across sessions change the folder in QlikView Desktop > Settings > User Preferences > Locations > User Files

Thanx Miguel, but that doesn't work for us, cause Citrix doesn't allow us to change the User Files...

Any other way in order to be able to change this? Maybe in an ini-file on the client-side?

The User Files entry in the Locations overview is either taken from the default value for your current user, or (if you modify that entry) from the Settings.ini file for your user (see Profile). If you cannot change the User Files entry, but you can change a Settings.ini file, then I think you're in some sort of deadlock situation. Because AFAIK it's the same thing.
