QV Project Doc

Hi Every one,

We have created a dashboard for our project,

Since we don't have any QV related documentation for our designs yet if some one could suggest an approach we could take based on your past experience to document what we have in my Dashboard. Please share any documents if you have.

Hi Arul,

We have created Dashboard, but need to create documentation for that, so I need  some suggestions on how to create documentation for a project and please share if any project documents.

Hi,

When we thought of developing dashboards, we will have the fields that are allowed to be selected based on the user and the objects(Charts & Tables) which are get reflected with selection which we were called them as KPI's. Like year on year sales, profit and loss.. etc.. If you arr preparing documentation for the QV application, It should describe about the application in detail along with KPI's Performance dependencies, scale of application, Optimization techniques used and users access permissions. If it is developer level document it should describe even about the data model along with functional requirements fulfillment.

So, KPI's mean, all the filters? can we say it? What is exact meaning of KPI's. One more thing that What is Scale of Application. Could you please explain in detail if you don't mind

Hi Priya,

KPI's means Key performance indicators. KPI's are nothing but the charts and table objects used in the dashboards for representing and visualizing the data.

Ex: Profit and Loss displaying with any of the object. or year wise sales representation in bar chart... etc.

KPI's are specific to the domain(Retail/Logistics/Manufacturing/supply chain/Insights...).

In General what ever the industry maybe it consists Leading, Lagging, Inputs, output, Quantitative, Qualitative,Process and functional. See the below link for more details about KPI's

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - explained

Scale of the application - Will it provides further extension and are you using any extension objects what are minimum requirements to run your application, size of application, how efficient it will work on large data sets(It will depend on optimization).

6.DESIGN OF PROJECT

If you wish to include any other chapters you can.
