QV Session lost and date format in reports

Hi everyone,

I would like to know where is the problem in my solution. I have a QVW which has 4,5 GB and if I open it via QVWS (IE and Firefox browser) I get the error Session lost exactly for 2 minutes. Another try is successful. I have been looking for some option in QMC, but I didnt find any option with 2 minutes (120sec) value.

Another problem which I have is with the date format in my reports accessing via QVWS (IE and Firefox browser). I need to get this format DD.MM.YYYY instead of this one MM/DD/YYYY. Reports genereated directly from QV server are fine. Is this the settings of browser or what?

I am really desperate now and dont know what to do and where to set which value.

Thank for your replies,

Peter

Try these.

Session time out:

Possibility 1.QliK on ur document from document tab and from Reload tab..there is a option Timeout seconds.

Possibility 2. FROM System tab--click on ur server name--Perforamnce tab--- a. Maximum inactive session time b.Possible session timeout.

Date formate:

u can change date foramt by using Date#(urfieldname,'DD.MM.YYYY' ) as newdate.

Hi, thank for the reply to session lost. But according the name of parameter I dont expect the connection between my problem and this setting. But I will try it. For the format date - I have the dat in footer, but there is still an option to use function. So good point and thanks 🙂 Peter

for the date format you have to change the system variable in the main tab to reflect whatever you want

this is how mine looks SET DateFormat='M/D/YYYY';

for the job taking over 2 min to end the session check under the performance tab in QMC

If you are not able to find anything with 2 min or 120 seconds, then go to document tab, select your application go to performance and validate that nothing might be overwriting the serve defaults
