QVD Lags

Hello Legends,

I have got a problem with QVD. It was serving my needs since last year.

Size 81mb

QlikView 10.00 SR3

Windows Server 2003 (32 bit)

Recently the document began lag so badly. I qlick on anything to drill, takes ages.

CPU Usage shows 0 - 5 %

Any file I access over remote desktop works like charm.

Any help d be much appreciated.

Honestly, I have no idea .

Can you test the performance in the following configurations:

- After reducing your dataset in different proportion;

- After deleting sheets or objects.

Have you a backup of an old version with good performance in order to compare memory usage and calculation time of each objects?

Thanks for your quick reply.

I tried my backups of the same file. Even Small QVDs less than 10mb everything lags.

Happens to QV only. Apart from QV everthing else is smooth So it couldnt be system

performance. Could it ? I cant figure it out yet.

Hi,

Maybe you can create a new file: Copy the code and the objects and place in a new file. Perhaps solve.

Yes, I tried. I created qvd. pulled an excel sheet in.

Reloaded, it still lags. I believe, something is wrong with QV version.

Is there anyone facing same issue ?

Reduce number of sheet, check data model, avoid IF() function,... See here and here for details.
