The key word here is conditional expressions and dimensions, this is a new feature in QV11.
I would suggest that you download the demo app (if you don't have it already installed with your sample apps anyway), then open properties for the chart and look at the dimension and expression tab, expressions in field 'Enable conditional' resp. 'Conditional'.
AFAIR it uses a data island with fields holding the expression and dimension labels, this offers you to present these labels as listbox, then do a match of the selected values with the appropriate labels in the conditionals for each dimension / expression.
