Hello,

I have recently come through planning requirement and heard of "Qlik Planner". Does it exist as a stable product? Or, this is still under testing or something so. It would be very helpful if anybody can put some light on the same.

Your question was posted a long time ago, but maybe my response can help others. I was presented to QlikPlanner last autumn, and the tool seemed ok for financial planning. The strategic planning was too new in the tool to be helpful for us - lacked too much functionality. The idea that they had seemed good though, so maybe it´s a product for the future.

For planning I believe there are other tools that are just as good as QlikPlanner. What´s important to know is that there is no special integration with QlikView. QlikView can be used to load data from QlikPlanner, just as from any other tool. What they´ve done is to display QlikView apps embedded in their web interface - something that is possible in many other tools as well.

My suggestion is to evaluate this tool compared to other planning tools, just looking at planning functionality. Don´t be mislead by the name of the product. This is not a QlikTech product.

I agree with Johan. Qlik Planner is NOT a Qlik product (such as: QlikView Desktop, QlikView Server, etc.). This is a solution provided by a vendor. As not to be biased, I will suggest looking at the rating of the product on QlikMarket to see how highly rated it is (i.e. How many stars does it have?). Feel free to reach out directly to the company for a demo, ask to speak to customers, ... solid/stable Qlik Partners will not hesitate in the least at showing you a working product and having a discussion with you...so long as you are legitimately interested in a potential purchase of it.

http://www.konsultnet.se is the manufacturer. Actually I saw now that they changed the name of the product, to Effectplan.
