Qlik Sense Variables Not Working on Server Installation (Not running Sense Desktop)

Hello,

I created the following variable in Sense (Windows 2008 R2 environment) that will not render in a visualization.  Please see attached screen shots.

SET vLastYear = 2010;

I created a Text & Image object with the following expression to test the variable.  I am not getting any results at all not even an error.  The result is blank.  It is a very simple test.

Expression: =$(vLastYear)

Does anyone see where I went wrong???  I’m not seeing where I made a mistake.

Thank you in advance!!!

It's working now.  All I did was clear the browser cache and rebooted the server.  I am not sure if that did the trick or some other environmental issue(s) resolved.

Thank you for your help.  If others experience this kind of issue, maybe these standard steps will help them.

Not sure either .   Can you share the QVF ?  You can export the server copy to disk  from the QMC / Apps area.

thanks. it works for me in desktop and server 'as is'.  Anything else you did on your server ?

if not, can you tell me the browser version you are using ? Maybe there is something there.

I am using Chrome Version 41.0.2272.101 m.

I have a clean install on the server.  Not sure what in QMC needs to be adjusted if anything at all from an expression perspective.

Same version here. It seems odd and i can't think why you are getting this.

I know you are not using Sense Desktop, but have you tried this QVF with Sense Desktop ? If you create a simple new 'test app' with the same variable syntax do you see this repeated ?

Sorry i can't be more helpful. All i can suggest is to figure out the scope of this strangeness ... just one app, just server etc..
