Qlik View User Details Backup

Hi everyone,

We are in process of upgrading our Qlik view server, could any one pls. explain about the backup procedure? i.e. how take the backup of User Details i.e. Doc Cal users/ Named cal users so that I do not have to recreate and reassign user licenses.

Hi Rahul.

Make sure you copy end user folder and QVPR repository.

Basically there will be three types of files in your qlikview folder other then .QVW

1) .pgo file consist the license details (session , document , user CAl)

2) .meta file contains document properties details (i.e , document category, distribution list information e.t.c)

3) .Shared file contains the details of all the shared object created by the user for the respected report.
