You might want to read chapteor 8 "Human resouces Mangement" of the "The data warehouse toolkit" book by Ralph Kimball. I found it very usefull especially with their being no HR demo applications.

No sorry. I know differentia consulting have a demo applicaiton. You may want to speak to them to see if they'll let you see theirs.
