QlikView 10 Webview and IE9

related to http://community.qlik.com/forums/p/38517/151373.aspx#151373 but a bit different.

Downloaded and installed IE9. Webview in QV10 now reports:

An error has occured in the script on this page.

Line: 1039

Char:9

Error: Object doesn't support property or method 'loadXML'

Code: 0

URL: http://qlikview/QvAjaxZfc/QvAjax.js

Any ideas?

IE9 will be officially supported in Qlikview 10 SR2, which is due mid April.

Until then, there might be issues with this browser.

Hi,

unfortunaly in the SR2 this problem is not solved. Is there any workaround?
This is also written in the SR2 release notes. Sad

I confirm that the problem has not been solved. I still get the LoadXML http://qlikview/QvAjaxZfc/QvAjax.js error

I Confirm again that the isue for IE9 is NOT solved in SR2 (Client Build Number 10.00.8935.0409)

There is a suggested solution to include the following meta-tag in the File QvsViewClient.aspx, I have not tested this ecause the file is write-protected.

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8" >

It is not enogh to go to developer mode by pressing F12 and set the Browser mode to IE8 and document mode to IE8, because when you restart IE9 it will reset this browser mode to IE9. I have not found a way round this problem.

It seems like QlikView always restarts a New IE9 browser-instance every time QlikView restarts.

Hi, where did you find the QvsViewClient.aspx file? I have a similar issue and i want to configure QV on WebView to be compatible with IE8.

Thanks.
