QlikView 12 SR3 2020 Not Reloading Script

Hello guys!

Recently I'm having an issue with QlikView when I hit reload (or ctrl+R) the progress window won't show and the whole program gets frozen. I have to end it using the task manager.

Any clue how can I solve this?

@juan144,

If the progress window is obscured as Marcus suggested, then you can try clearing the [WindowPOS] info from the QlikView Desktop Settings.ini file located in %Users%\<username>\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView.  Doing so should reset the position of QV Desktop application on the display.

  1. Make a backup of the Settings.ini file
  2. Open the Settings.ini file in a text editor such as Notepad++
  3. Scroll down until you see [Window POS] section & delete the entries in this section
  4. Save the Settings.ini file
  5. Relaunch QV Desktop and try again

Hope this helps!

Depending upon the size of the QVW and how complex the reload script is, you could perform a Debug reload from the Script Editor to see where things start to hang.

Quite probably is the progress window behind any other windows or on the outside of your screen (happens quite often within multi-monitor environments because Qlik stored the positions of the most popup-windows).

Even if I just reload the script empty it will get stuck.

Did you look to the progress window like hinted above?
