QlikView 12 ????

We are doing some planning for the coming years and we had someone ask when QlikView 12 (or whatever the next versions name) will be coming out.   I dont see that timeline document that use to be in the Support area on qlik.com.   Does anyone know if the next version is getting close to having a release date announced?

QlikView 11.2 is expected in December.  It is not a SR for QV11 but a different QV version.  "Initial Release" is availble for testing already.

I think QV had major releases every 13 months or something like this for the last couple of years, so you would expect the next version 12 in december 2012.

I think this year is a bit different, since the next version is called 11.2, the only major new feature included is so called 'direct discovery' (calling SQL from within the front end). Its beta phase has just ended, so we may expect a release date within couple of weeks.

QT is working on so called QV.next (next generation QV) also, but no release date announced yet.

Tread carefully! Initial Releases have a tendency to be a bit unstable.
