I understand they wouldn't work in Developer. I did publish the application and the macros I was using was not working. I tried also changing the document variable properties so that when one variable value switches, it launches a URL. But this property doesnt work for some reason. I was reading that this is a known bug.

The issue is that these 508 accessible objects only were written in the JS to have very few actions. This includes clear selection, forward and backward selection, set a bookmark, and set variable.  Therefore, this accessible button will have to change a variable value. And the switch will have to trigger the launch external from the button itself.

Any ideas???

Hi

Unfortunately not. My client also have a lot of macros in their applications and the missing action types is/can be a problem.

We haven't begun implementing anything yet though.

This thread is old, but for Googlers: Good news!
Qlik started supporting WCAG 2.0 at level AA from Qlik Sense 2018 June. 🙂

And should therefore now comply to both Section 508 and EU regulations.
