We get during reloads sporadically (approx. 1 of 10 times) an appcrash. Below you'll find the event viewer log:

We've checked first the hardware (RAM, CPU, and so on), but there's everything OK. Then we setup the OS again and again. Because of that the error occurs sporadically, the search is cumbersome. We inform QlikTech (Ticket)... But we weren't able to find out a solution.

Does someone use a similar configuration (Hardware+OS+QV10). Or has anyone an idea to find out the problem.

Best regards,

M.Gencsoy.

Hello Mehmet,

Michael from HAA here.  We had a similar issue here with version 10.  It was McAfee causing the issue.  We were able to fix by unregistering scriptsn.dll

regsvr32 /u C:\Program Files\Common Files\McAfee\SystemCore\scriptsn.dll

regsvr32 /u C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\McAfee\SystemCore\scriptsn.dll

Please see link for more details.

I have experienced similar and opened ticket with QlikView Support Group. In my situation, I had QV9 and QV10 both installed on the server and that was point of suspecion for this error. I am still waiting for new hardware to do a fresh install of QV10 SR2 and hoping that problem will go away.

What I would suggest if you wipe out QV completely adnd do a fresh install.

Also, check your application error logs. I am sure you will see an info entry, at the same time of system error, for Application Popup saying C++ runtime error. I tried to update C++ runtime, but did not help, but may help in our case.

Please post what you find.

If you are on QV10 SR2, QlikView just came out with a patch which fixed the problem. Patch number 8945 I think. Just check with your corresponding QlikView support person or partner to get you details.

At the moment we are experiencing the same thing with our installation. We have no McAfee, so i think, that the mentioned patch could be helpfull.

Where can i receive the patch 8945. I can't find it in the download session, or did you get it from the customer support ?
