QlikView and Oracle Applications

Hello all,

I am currently looking at a possible implementation of QlikView on Oracle Apps - Logistic, Financials , Payroll.

Does anyone have any experience of this -

if so, what did you need to consider, is it working well and how did you approach handling Oracle dpps ?

Did you pull Data from view or from the source tables?

Many thanks

Yigal.

Yigal,

Oracle is as good with QlikView as any other database.  There are some specifics, I documented a couple here:
http://community.qlik.com/docs/DOC-1321

You have to install Oracle client.  You can use 64 or 32-bit client.  If you use QVS reload, use the same client as in development environment to avoid unnecessary complexities.

As for the tables/views - anything works.

Regards,

Michael

Please consider how quickly you would be able to do this using pre-built connector software. Here at Velos-IT we have delivered a number of successful implementations using our technology. Doing it manually from scratch with raw db connections and tables is likely to be a very time-consuming and risky task. One of our demo apps is available on QlikMarket if you would like to take a look. Andrew.
