QlikView with Oracle VPD

Hi all,

Is it possible to use QlikView with Oracle VPD for data security? Understand that QlikView uses Section Access, but as QlikView is in-memory, there is no query to the Oracle database source and hence without the user context Oracle VPD cannot work.

Am I mistaken on the above?

For reference I am attaching a diagram of our solution. Any help will be appreciated, thanks. QlikView x Oracle VPD.png

Into your QVD you should have all data (for all users) with column(s) that identifies the user.

Then you could you Section Access to restrict access to the information based on that column(s)
