Qlikview 11 for Developers - thousands symbol not working

Hello All,

I am unable to get the thousands automatic number symbol (as in thousands, millions, billions) working, is there something else I need to tick or indicate in the attached example, please?  The solution file works on my desktop, but I can't seem to get my file to work in the manner indicated in the QlikView 11 for Developers book on page 162.  Any assistance is much appreciated!

Hi joveloper,

I think your question is related to disable of thousands symbol in chart properies>>number>> thousand symbol or million symbol or billion symbol.

In that case those blocks will be enabled for charts other than straight and pivot table.

I am new to qlikview, if I am wrong please correct me.

i think we cant able to give thousand symbol in number tab for pivot and straight table...

If you are talking about the chart "Transported passengers vs mail", it is working like a charm. Click any other year except 2010 and you'll see that it works.

QlikView decides on when to use these symbols, mostly whan space is extremely limited. That's why the chart will reduce very big axis labels to the correct symbol, but not a single max value of 2000 or 1000.

Your document is very large. Please reduce it before uploading, or post a screenshot as evidence.

Ack, maybe it was too hot here in San Diego, but I just realized it is because no rounding is taking place so that is why I was not seeing it!
