Qlikview Connector for MongoDB

Hi All,

I need to do a POC by bringing data from MongoDB to Qlikview..I have some queries

1) I am using personal editon to do this POC .. Can I download the mongoDB connector if use personal edition?

or is it mandatory that i need to have a license to download all the connectors for qlikview ?

2 ) I have a set of XML files to load in to mongoDB and do some kind of joins ..do you recommend to have these files loaded into MongoDB first then bring into Qlikview ?  or is it fine load the data directly to Qlikview and do the operations from Qlikview

I just want to know what is the real advantage of using mongoDB with Qlikview..

Appreciate your vaulabe comments on this..

Thanks,

Nirmal.

Cool. This falls into the 'partner solutions' i mentioned above. QVSource is an excellent Qlik Partner that provides many connectors that they have built that extend QlikView's reach into data sources. They are commonly purchased by QlikView customers looking to expand with QlikView and sort of access any system directly, or at least reducing the 'hops' to get data into Qlik.

QVSource sells software (like Qlik) so you would have to reach out to them for trials, evaluations, help etc...

I know TIQ has mongodb connectivity and there is a Simba oDBC driver out there too. These are all paid for software solutions fyi.  good luck.

1)  Which connector to MongoDB are you referring to ?  Qlik has downloadable connectors for SAP, SalesForce, Google Big Query , Essbase, Informatica and Teradata.  Remaining connections are ODBC / OLEDB / Web Files or disk based files (apart from API / partner solutions).

ps:  Qlik Expressor  has a mongodb connection but you need Expressor to access it.   MongoDB -> MongDB Connector for Expressor -> Expressor -> QLikView.   Probably more steps then you may need.

2)  If the only destination of the data is QlikView, no need to load into MongoDB. Qlik builds and refreshes its own data platforms from 1 or more sources.
