Qlikview Desktop 12.80.20100 problem with Web View

Hi all

We upgraded to Qlikview 12.80.20100 from 12.70, and we are having trouble when we open a project and try to switch to web view. As i understand, version 12.80 is now using webview2 (edge) and not webview (IE).

We are getting this error:

"This content is blocked
For your protection, your organization is not allowing you to access the resource or content hosted by 127.0.0.1"

This error did not appear in version 12.70

When opening the project in the server access point, its ok...

This is very important for the development of the projects, to see how it looks in web view.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Oded

An update on this issue:

Found the cause of the problem. Its microsoft's defender smartscreen. My organization uses microsoft's cloud to verify each call to a url, any url, using the cloud smartscreen.

And its in version 12.8 and above, because it uses WebView2 (MS Edge), and WebView2 runs smartscreen for each url.

As a solution, there is an option to exclude the above url and port (127.0.0.1:4947) locally, but in my case, its locked by the organization admin.

Hi @odedko , since we removed completely WebView classic, the only option is that you discuss some exceptions with your security team.
