Qlikview In-house Consulting Services
We have purchased some Qlikview licenses for my company and I was happy to start churning away new reports in it. In July we have asked Qlikview to support us with their consultants to be able to realise full Qlikview potential . To let them work on our data we need them to sign an NDA.
Here everything stopped.
Three month later Qlikview still has to find time to get back to our lawyer to negotiate the NDA.
Do other Qlikview customer actually make use of Qlikivew in-house consulting services? It seems Qlikview is not interested in selling them at all. What was your experience with the purchase and negotiations?
We are paying customers already. I have tried to have any reaction from Qlikview local sales team and also tried to contact Mr. Bonney (global sales and field operations) but to no avail.

Hi Egor,
I have no direct experience of QlikView's consulting offering but I would recommend that you locate an experienced QlikView partner in your area. They are likely to have well experienced consultants who will give you great service and are less likely to have any major legal issues in signing NDA's.
Regards,
Stephen

Thank you for your answer Stephen!
We have tons of data and quite often take the application to its limit. So it would be very instrumental to have the advise from the original source. My concern is that partners will not be able to get the same level of developer support as the in-house consultant would. What is your experience on this?
I just would not like to end up in a situation where we hire a partner consultant for a problem I can not solve and they are not able either. Because they lack access to source code or some internal know-how. With in-house consultants one could hope they would get better support.

Hi Egor,
My experience is limited to my territory but I would say that the QV consultants are very clever and knowledgeable about their product and have some great ideas. Partners are also very clever and knowledgeable about the product - because that is what they do to earn their living - and work with customers like you all the time and deliver real solutions. Always a good idea to ask about other experiences in similar companies to your own so as to make sure you get the right partner. There is always a good chance that a partner has a speciality with systems similar to yours that a QlikView consultant may not have so that would be of benefit.
Regards,
Stephen
