We have QMC on one particular server and currently files located on same server. We have some space issues and hence we are thinking if we can have files physically stored on some other server and which can be linked to server which has QMC on it. Is it possible to have this kind of structure in place?
Yes, that's possible. You can use UNC path to shares for document folders for example. That means such folders can be placed on another server if necessary.
As the others have said yes this is possible. Please note though that services are still running on your QV server, so you will be going across the network to read/write to the other location (both from a task reload and loading into QVS memory perspective). So you can expect some latency due to the change
