Hi Team,
we have 2 machines
(1)db1 machine is having sql server and ssis (Sql server 2008 r2,MS visual studio 2008) 16 GB RAM
(2)qv1 machine is having Qlikview (licensed QV server 11,but no license for QV publisher) 32 GB RAM
my requirement is remove one machine(qv1) and push both the things(database part and qv Reports) into one machine db1.
How can i do this? and what type of precautions i need to take before doing it?
Note:- these are Production servers
if any one is having documents or screen shots please share i will keep it hidden
or else my number is 8376964364 give me a missed call i will call to you
if any other details you want for more clarification i will elaborate
in advance appreciated your help
Do you REALLY need to have QlikView and Database on one server?
Just to remind you, it's not recommended to install anything else one the QlikView server that QlikView itself, especially no database.
Disregarding the recommendation I'd suggest to:
To be on the safe side, you should also backup the following folder containing all your logs and settings (assuming the default path is still in use):
C:\Program Data\QlikTech
Hope this helps,
Patrick
Hi Patrick,
First of thanks for u r valuable help
Yes, it is necessary to both in one machine client is asking like that and we already inform to them Qlikview it self re commands Qv server only individually.
if u have any video(You tube) or screen shots can u pls share those.
I'm afraid I have no screenshots, sorry.
But after setting up your new QlikView Server, you should be fine comparing and copying your setup from the old server.
One other important fact:
Don't forget to set up your odbc connection on the new server, similar to the old server.
You'll need them to contact the db.
