Hi All
I know about the section access which is used to limit the data display at document level. If any user is not included in this he/she can not open the document.
Does it also apply when this dicument is deployed on server but user/group has given a access on server access point.
Will he be able to see the document if not added on section access but has been given/added to see this on server...
I am not sure If I could put my question correctly but please if someone understand it then please help me to solve my confusion.
Thanks
Vijay Sahu
Section Access works both in QlikView Desktop and in the AccessPoint. Since the AP is just a web site to which access is governed by other access systems (usually AD), it may still show documents with SectionAccess to users that have no permission to open it anyway. However there is an option in your Document Settings to make the thumbnail for this document disappear from the AccessPoint if the currently logged on user is not found in the document's Section Access table.
See Security->Document Properties->Server->Filter AccessPoint Document List Based on Section Access
