Qlikview Sorting chart columns for users doesn't always work

I have some columns that will sort ascending or descending and some that will only sort in one direction.  Everything seems to be setup properly with interactive sort enabled and at least 1 sort criteria selected for each field I want to sort on.

Any ideas why I can only sort certain fields in one direction?

I just had the same problem and I had some columns that were not enabled before the columns that would not be sorted in one direction. By moving the disabled coluns last in order the problem was solved.

Seems like the problem was the disabled columns...

This issue was confirmed as a bug by Qlikview today. I was experiencing the same issues.

There is another work-around for the disabled columns.

There are cases when you can't move the disabled dimension columns (e.g. conditions may enable or disable columns based on user selections).

Using calculated dimensions instead of disabelling dimension columns does the trick. There are no disabled columns anymore, so sorting works again.
