Hi All,
I have a Problem that when i try to load my excel file,i found some empty column due to excel formula,
In fact,i have 5 columns,2 are filled statically and the others are filled dynamically(a mapped cellules from another sheet from the same excel files)
So my problem is when i open the document manually, the datas are filled and then i save my file and qlikview load the data perfectly, but if i try to load directly the file with qlikview without open it manually, columns still empty,
Any Help Please ??
The size of excel file before opening is 22 MO,after i open it manually and i save ,the size will be 30 MO because data are filled
Thanks
Hi,
The unique solution that i founded for now,it is to redefine the mapping in QV,so i read my sheets separately each one in single table, then i do a join
For the File, they are in the same Excel file,
Thanks for reply,
Hi Majdi,
Do you have a Macro in your excel file?

Miguel del Valle
Qlikview could only read values which are already really populated - if there is only an expression which isn't calculated then the cell will be empty from a qlikview point of view then the excel-file will be opened like if you opened it within a text-editor.
In your case simply enable within excel the option to calculate the file before saving and the expressions will be evaluated.

Can you please send that excel which demonstrates the issue, If possible? Because, As marcus said, we can't get whole measures from Excel. If you want to same thing then you need to do either Straight / Pivot table in Qlik which indicated resemble of excel

Hi Marcus,
I will try your solution, but by default, calculation when a modification is done are automatically
Thanks,
Hi Anil,
For Straight / Pivot table,is is o whole work i should find a easiest solution.
Sorry, i can send to an extraction before having an autorisation
Thanks
You mean the automatic calculation is enabled and therefore all cells should be evaluated before saving? Normally this will work - if not, not all of your cell-references in these excel might come from those excel itself. References to other excel-files especially created with the indirect-function are not mandatory handled as "real" cell-values else as references which will be evaluated while the run-time of excel.
A workaround for you could be to copy+paste (maybe automatically with some macro-stuff) the excel-content into a txt-file (and this will txt be faster to load especially by large amounts of data).
