Hi All,
I have many complaints from the users that when they are loading some dashboards, they are facing delays when using web/windows client.
The programe (500kb .qvw file) will hang in the below screenshot for 10-15 sec during first load (everyday).
Users are using AD authentication.
I went to the server and view the event log:
The description for Event ID ( 100 ) in Source ( QlikViewServer ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: CAL usage: Using CAL of type "Named User" for user "AD\USER1". Named user cals in use: 5.
Does this have anything to do with the lag?
If not, what could have causes this?

hi,
it is hard to say if event log is related to the delay. One thing that you can try is to configure settings on QV Server for that document in following way: in QMC go to Documents>User documents>mark corresponding document and in Server>Performance tab for it take a look at 'Max Inactive Session Time' and 'Document Time' values. Also, mark 'Preload' checkbox, which will load document in the memory before first request for it arrived (see also help page for that tab on the server).
regards
It sounds like your document takes a few seconds to load. You can configure the document so that it's always kept in memory (select the preload option on the document in QMC). You can also check if any OnOpen triggers, number of sheets and objects, and the data model to see if there is room for improvement.
The event log simply shows that a user is accessing the document.
