Recently, I have been reading quite a few articles on Business Intelligence, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence to broaden the horizon. But the deeper I get into finding answer to "place of Qlikview in the world of Analytics" it brings back more questions than answers.
As we know, Analytics is divided in 4 main parts.
1. Descriptive Analytics -- What has happened (BI Tools)
2. Diagnostic Analytics -- Why it has happened (Drill down, data discovery, data mining)
3. Predictive Analytics -- What will happen (statistics, modelling, machine learning)
4. Prescriptive Analytics -- Next steps to be taken
Now, as per Qlikview Website Qlikview is a BI tool. But it also tells that Qlikview is a Business discovery tool with data discovery functionalities. This means that we can find out the answers to "Why it has happened?" through insights.
So, I want to ask if Qlikview belongs to Descriptive Analytics or Diagnostic Analytics?
