Qlikview server management

What is the best practice for the control and management of a Qlikview server?

Currently our server is managed by two people in another department, but we're finding this is leading to bottlenecks in my team's productivity. Is this good governance or a badly organised way of doing things?

Hi Alex,

A document admin is a user who is granted privileges to administrate user and source documents, without having permissions to do other changes to the server installation. If your administrators made a few of your group document admins, you would be able to create your own tasks to reload and distribute documents to your server.

HI Alex, that is difficult to answer without getting any understanding of what you mean by bottlenecks.   Do you mean the server itself is overloaded?  Or do you mean the current admin setup slows down your ability to create and release new documents to the server?  There are ways around it by for example using document admins or adding someone from your team to the administrators group.
