Question about using qualify in script en renaming fields

Hello,

We are using the option 'qualify' in our QV script, but there is one thing that makes me unhappy about it. The good thing is that all the fields related to a table will be shown in order and per table. That's good. The bad thing is that I have to rename all the fields in the label field. What I also don't like is the description of the selections in the current selections box.

Is there someone who can tell me how to solve this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Henco,

What do you mean with "I have to rename all the fields in the label field."

Do you mean that when you make a graph as example that you have to rename the name of the column? It take automatically the original name off course.
I don`t see your problem...

And also you last question is not clear to me sorry. I want to help you but maybe you can be more precise.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your answer.

Let me give you an example.

The names of the fields are displayed as following: tablename.fieldname. This is because of using 'qualify' in the script. What I want to see in for example a chart is only the fieldname and not tablename+fieldname. I hope this is more specific.

Oke I understand.

Maybe you could do the following.

You have made as example the table "tablename"

In the script on the end make a new table where you load everything from "tablename"and unqualify this one. Note that if there is a name in this table that is also in another one that they will connect off course.

I don`t know if there is another solution and I understand that my solution is not really a answer for you because you use qualify.

I think you should think really good about your use of qualify.

Kind Regards,

Martijn
