Ram Calculation vs qlikview scalability

Assumption:

Compression ratio is 20%

File multiplier 2-10 say 4

User Ram ratio 4%

Data source is of 10 GB.

Concurrent user 50

using  attached  image i am calculating and found below result .could someone please verify weither its correct.

i thing there is some mistakes in it

Qvw size= 10 GB (1-60/100) =10*1024* 40/100=4 GB

Ram initial=4*1024 * 4= 16 GB

Ram user=16 GB*4=64 GB

Ram= (64 GB*50) +32

=3232 GB

see the attached file for formulas.

hope someone could help me on this asap.

First look says:

Ram user=16 GB*.04=.64 GB               //4% ->.04

Ram= (.64 GB*50) +16                          // Corrected: RAM initial 16

          =32+16

          =48 GB

Update: Corrected

It depends on your application. Several factors:

  • Your model
  • Your front-end expression
  • Number of unique values in different fields

Read the attached doc as well.
