Hello
I had a meeting with a client and I need to answer him
he was asking if he can read data from QlikView
is this possible or is he dreaming?
Hi,
QVW files are binary, and there are no connectors to read objects from these files, which is what I'm assuming your client wants to do. You can anyway export to XLS or CVS different objects so he can use that information in their reports, or even export to images and just copy and paste them. You can integrate the QlikView API in a VB or C# (not VBS) project, so you can extract information from objects, but it's far way easier to create a button to export or just use the right click button in the plugin or the Accesspoint.
In short, if your client means reading from a QVW file using an ODBC or something as you do using MS Access MDB or ACCDB files, the answer is no, that's not possible.
Hope that makes sense.

Hi Ali,
Just adding to what Miguel said about exporting the data from QV to Text File. Please look at the below post.
