Realtime data for ‘Production Boards’
Hi,
We are currently evaluating a business reporting software for our company and ‘Qlikview’ is also an option to be considered.
My question is can ‘Qlikview’ be used to display information in ‘Production Boards’, which needs to be updated with real-time data from our ERP system?
Appreciate your help.
Thanks

yes, you can automate refreshing of dashboards by means of scheduling refresh tasks in the Qlikview management console or make adhoc calls to refresh the data by means of EDX calls. I've worked on dashboards using qlikview that is based on real-time data.

Hi Yasiru,
We are also using realtime time data which needs to refresh after every 5 min.
For that purpose we are using OLEDB connection in qlikview.
Moreover we have not created QVD files we are directly using tables from Oracle database and scheduled
all QVW files in management console so that we can able to see all fresh data after every 5 min.
Thanks,
Deepak

Hi,
You can show Realtime data in Qlikview dashboard by refreshing from QMC or EDX calls or using DIRECT DISCOVERY.
Check DIRECT DISCOVERY concept in community, hope it helps you.
Regards,
Jagan.
