Recover Qlikview documents

How do you “recover documents” in order to open them up on a new computer?

I can’t find any information on how to do that.

When you open the Document in the new personal edition you will get the message about the limits of the Personal Edition.

 

Just check the checkbox "Yes I want to continue" and click continue.

 

(My Qlik version is in Swedish so I don't have the exact message)

There should not be any issues opening an QV application on another computer. I do this all the time.

If your app is using section access and the users differs on the two computers then you might need to turn of section  access or add the new user before migrating to a new computer.

If the issue lies in that you have a corrupt QVW file then you can recover parts of it, take a look at this posting: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge/How-to-recover-Layout-and-Script-from-a-corrupt-QlikView/ta-...

Yes, I am using Personal Edition and need to open my documents on a new computer. 

After installing Qlikview on the new computer what folders and files must be copied over from the old computer?
